Fall in Roanoke

For my birthday, we hiked up to Mill Mountain, which has the star on top. But do you know what else they have on top of that mountain? A zoo. It's a little baby community zoo but they have really cool animals!

I spent several minutes talking to this zebu and her fur was much thicker than it looks. I'm pretty sure it had its own ecosystem. I washed my hands for longer than I pet her.

Poor Mr. Snow leopard has a sad, sad enclosure that's just one rock. But lucky for him, I have to take an Inter-professional Learning course (IPL). And in IPL, we have to do a service learning project. So my group of 3 PA students, 3 medical students, and 2 accelerated nursing students is going to be renovating and landscaping his enclosure in the spring.

Dave's ridiculousness at Thanksgiving.

We couldn't fit a proper tree in our apartment this year, so Dave brought home a really big, fluffy wreath instead. It does the job of making our apartment smell like pine and we got to decorate it a little.

Cookie decorating was a great way to celebrate the end of my first semester in PA school and Dave's first semester as a teacher!
